Rockland Education Foundation Grant Applications Now Open!

August 31, 2026

Dear Rockland Educators,

The Rockland Education Foundation is excited to kick off another year of supporting the creativity, innovation, and dedication of our educators. The 2026 REF Grant application process is officially open!

Each year, we are inspired by the ideas our educators bring forward and the many ways those ideas create meaningful learning experiences for our students. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Century Club members, memorial donors, and supporters of our annual June golf tournament, we are proud to have significant funding available to support your projects this year.

This year, we are especially excited to continue offering two special grants that recognize the lasting contributions of two of the Rockland Education Foundation’s founding members:

The $10,000 A. Scott MacKinlay Impact Grant

The “WOW” Grant in Honor of Jack McGrath

These grants are intended for innovative projects with the potential to make a significant impact on students—whether that impact reaches one classroom, an entire grade level, a school, or students across the district. They are a wonderful way to honor Scott MacKinlay and Jack McGrath and the vision they had for making a difference in education.

Of course, grants of all sizes and scopes are welcome. If you have an idea that will enhance learning, engage students, provide new opportunities, or bring something special to your classroom or school, we want to hear about it!

Visit RocklandEducationFoundation.org for complete grant information and access to the application. Applications should be submitted electronically using the Google Forms link provided on the website.

Application Deadline is October 16, 2026.  Please remember to have your proposal reviewed by your principal before submitting your application.

If you have questions or would like assistance developing your proposal, Sue Lonergan, our Educator Liaison, is available to help. She can be reached at slonergan@rocklandschools.org.

We are incredibly grateful for the educators who continue to dream big, try new things, and find creative ways to make a difference in the lives of our students. We can’t wait to see what you come up with this year!

Thank you for all that you do, and best of luck with your 2026 grant application!
